A sell-out success both here and in the USA, Real FX Disney Stitch First Edition has given retailers of all sizes the opportunity delight their customers with in-store theatre.
Wow! Stuff‘s Real FX Disney Stitch First Edition has launched with what the innovative toy company is calling ‘unprecedented success’.
Timed to coincide with International Stitch Day, which was celebrated globally on 26th June, the launch marked a significant milestone in toy retail this year. According to LinkedIn posts, the weekend of 29th June became the best performing weekend of the year across some independent retailers, with Real FX Disney Stitch First Edition going straight in at the No. 1 spot.

Wow Stuff! says the launch of Real FX Stitch has not only delighted consumers but also revitalised toy retail, demonstrating the power of innovative products in driving consumer engagement and sales. Retailers have reported record-breaking sales, hailing Wow! Stuff’s innovative ‘puppetronic’ toy as the must-have toy of the year.
David Middleton, owner of independent retailer Midco Toys, noted: “This weekend [June Pay weekend] saw our biggest weekend of the year. Wow! Stuff’s The Walt Disney Company Interactive Stitch (Real FX) – my pick for the Toy of the Year – kicking in for the No. 1 line by value for the weekend.”
Richard Derr of Learning Express Toys, Lake Michigan, USA, wrote on LinkedIn: “I have never (NEVER) experienced this before. Hey, I’m just a little indie toy store – for three days straight, every 1-2 hours, a Stitch order (some multiple purchases) at $80…”
Also in the USA, Amazon.com announced Real FX Stitch as its No.1 Hot New Release and No.1 Best Seller in the Interactive Plush Category before it sold out. Back in the UK, demand was so high that the toy sold out at Smyths Toys within hours. It’s now back on pre-order, leaving many eagerly awaiting a restock due to land in the next couple of weeks.
The success of Real FX Stitch is a promising sign for toy retail, showcasing the potential for high-quality, higher price point, wow-factor toys to drive significant sales and consumer interest.
